Kozarska Dubica is a town and a municipality, located in the northwestern Republic of Srpska and Bosnia and Herzegovina. The municipality is bounded with rivers Una and Sava which form natural border with the Republic of Croatia to the north and the mountains Kozara and Prosara on the south. Kozarska Dubica is well connected with neighboring municipalities Gradiška, Prijedor, Kostajnica and Novi Grad trough main and regional roads. Also, there are two state border crossings with Croatia - one located in town center intended for passenger traffic only and Donja Gradina border crossing, intended for both freight and passenger traffic, located only 10 kilometers away from Belgrade - Zagreb highway.

The land area of Kozarska Dubica is 499 km2 and the population is estimated at about 31.000 inhabitants.

Geographically, the municipality lies on the edge of Pannonian Basin, mainy plain land with an average altitude of 200 m, although there are mountainous areas in northwestern and northeastern parts of the municipality. The climate is moderate (humid) continental, with both long periods of sunny weather and sufficient amounts of rainfall, which is a good prerequisite for the development of all types of agricultural production. Out of the total area of ​​49.900 hectares, forest covers 15.691 hectares or 31.50% and agricultural land covers 31.481 hectares or 63%. Barren land covers 2.728 hectares or 5.50%.

Rivers Una and Sava, nearness of mountain Kozara, monastery Moštanica, spa Mlječanica, Memorial Area Donja Gradina as well as other cultural and historical sites are an exceptional opportunity to develop all types of tourism in the municipality.
